Arrivals and Itinerary
If you are traveling from overseas, we recommend arriving a few days early, around the 17th of June. activities beyond the ceremony and reception, including a casual gathering on the evening of the 19th of June and an afternoon experience on the 21st of June.
Along with our Wedding Itinerary, we are sharing travel ideas, including our favourite spots in the Scopello region, as well as 7-Day and 10-Day travel itineraries for those who would like to enjoy more time in Sicily.
The closest airport to our venue is Palermo (PMO) International Airport.
For international flights, we suggest either:
1) booking a roundtrip flight directly to Palermo, or
2) booking a round trip or multi-trip flight into another major city in Europe or the UK for a night or two stopover before flying to Palermo. You may consider cities like Paris, London, Istanbul, Rome, Milan, or Madrid. Please note that Paris is the best direct flight from Canada.
Travelling to Sicily
Getting to Scopello from Palermo Airport
Our wedding venue is a 53 min drive from the Palermo Airport in an area called Scopello. Below, we recommend accommodation options in Scopello region and in a seaside town called Castellammare del Golfo (15 mins drive from our wedding venue, 45 mins drive from the airport).

If you feel comfortable to drive in Italy, we recommend renting a car (carpooling if possible) to enjoy driving around the countryside regions.

Hotels in Castellammare del Golfo
A quaint and lively coastal town only 10 km drive to Torre de Scopello. In the summer period Castellammare’s harbor comes to life at night and the area becomes a pedestrian zone with plenty of restaurants. During the day, take a walk to the nearby beach for a swim or through town to enjoy sitting on a terrace overlooking the harbor with a local wine, home made gelato or a refreshing Sicilian granita.
