Salina Island 2 Days
For us, Salina Island was love at first sight. It’s a beautiful and nature-filled island known for its lush landscapes, pristine beaches, and charming villages.
Salina is famous for its capers and Malvasia wine, making it a haven for food and wine enthusiasts. Whether exploring its volcanic peaks, driving around via electric scooter or relaxing by the sea, Salina provides a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. While on the island, we highly recommend visiting Pa. Pe. Ró Cafe in the Leni region for wonderful island hospitality and to taste one of their famous granitas.
To get to Salina Island, you can either:
a) take a ferry directly from Palermo to Salina. The ferry service is operated by several companies, including Liberty Lines and Siremar. The journey typically takes around 3 hours, depending on the specific ferry and route.
b) drive from Cefalu to the port of Milazzo (paid multi-day parking is available near the port), followed by a ferry to Salina. The journey is scenic and offers stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Cefalu 2 Days
Cefalù is a charming town nestled on the northern coast of Sicily, just an hour's drive from Palermo. With stunning seaside views and historic architecture, it’s the perfect backdrop for a captivating travel experience that caters to all interests.
It’s also ideal for savoring delicious Sicilian cuisine and is one of our favorite places for romantic Italian dining experiences. Whether you’re out with a friend, on a date with your partner, or simply enjoying a meal by yourself, every dining experience in Cefalù feels special. We also highly recommend grabbing a pizza for sunset on the pier.
The beautiful beaches of Cefalù, featured in the series White Lotus, are perfect for sunbathing and swimming. And if you’re lucky, you might be able to catch a surf. Each visit to Cefalù is a celebration of flavours, ambiance, and the enchanting Italian spirit. You can find more info here.
Taormina 2 Days
Taormina, perched on a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea, is one of Sicily’s most enchanting destinations. This picturesque town offers stunning views, historic architecture, and a vibrant cultural scene.
Strolling through Taormina’s charming streets, you’ll find beautiful beaches and the ancient Greek Theatre, which provides breathtaking panoramas of Mount Etna and the sea. For an incredible dining experience, we loved and highly recommend Ristorante Le Grand Bleu (featured in the TV series White Lotus). This restaurant serves delicious Sicilian cuisine and has an elegant atmosphere with panoramic views.
